John Gatto Taylor, was one of New York’s finest teachers. After 30 years of teaching & being named New York City Teacher of the year for 3 years he resigned. In 1991, he sent a resignation letter to the Wall Street Journal titled “I Quit, I Think”. He concluded that the public school was not a conducive vehicle for educating young people. After leaving the public school system he continued to blow a whistle on the system through writing & speaking. Encouraging many parents to question the establishment & to consider homeschooling as a better alternative!
